Michael Jackson moving to Europe - the new King of Flop
Bookmark on del.icio.us | by ThurstonMichael Jackson doesn’t do much these days except move around. Moving from Bahrain to Europe is the latest moonwalk for the fallen King of Pop. He hasn’t been able to catch a cold in sales in the last few years because of molestation charges that have dogged him persistently, and now he’s ready for a change:

Jackson has fired his business managers and has hired a New York City-based firm to oversee his business affairs.
I would guess there’s little doubt he needs money, and fast. He owes millions in debt, and has an eroding fan base. Rumor is he’s working on his comeback right now.

you have got to be the biggest idiot on the planet.
“eroding fanbase”?! LMAO that is CLASSIC!hahaha
did you forget about the 14 NOT GUILTY verdicts? oh no. i would guess your pea-sized brain won’t be able to handle such information. he’s such a fallen pop-star the media will take in ANY news about him just so they can write SOMETHING about him. you’re no different.
get a life.

Haha, the fan base eroded. You need to FACE FACTS.
You really think the King of Flop has another Thriller in him?
You need to educate yourself on your hero’s numbers. They’re way down.

me “face facts” coming from YOU? PUHLEEZ.
your writing says it all about how much NUMBERS you know about Michael.
start educating yourself before you say that to me, because i know WAY MORE than you do.

If he’s in so much debt, how is he able to jet around Europe and Asia?
If you check your “facts”, you’ll find Michael Jackson is very successful in other global markets apart from the USA - however that market is no longer necessary for any artist to be successful. His Number Ones Greatest Hits with hits rehashed for like the hundredth time sold extremely well and went to number one in many countries. that shows how much interest is still generated by even his old hits everyone probably has. Thats a testement to his fan base you say is eroding NB Did you know his Number Ones album went to number one around the time when the allegations broke in 2003, you know, before he was found Not Guilty Ten Times… Trust me, when he makes his comeback you’ll be kissing his ass like everyone else. You asked if he had another Thriller in him, if you mean the sales numbers - has anyone actually came as close as him? No. With downloads being so big these days, who could. it isnt 1983 anymore!

Two things I’d like to add:
-Of course he doesn’t have as much fans as he did around Thriller. You can’t have that hype going for more than 20 years. No matter how you look at it, he still has a big fanbase, certainly if you look at everything that happened to him in the last several years. Even with the focus off of his music and talent and even after all the slander, there are still many people who love and admire this man.
-You say he ‘hasn’t been able to catch a cold in sales.’ You’re wrong there. Invincible (released in 2001) sold around 10 million worldwide, making it one of the better selling albums of this decade. His old albums still sell better than those by fellow pop icons like Madonna. The ridiculous amount of greatest hits packages that have been released have even done quite allright. Certainly not bad for a ‘fallen superstar’ in this modern day and age if you ask me.

LOL! Folk like you crack me up!
Deary me, you’re just are soooo eager to point the finger and laugh at someone else’s misfortune aren’t you!
Go see a doctor and have that cork eroded from your ass, I’m sure you’ll feel much better afterwards.

This is so stupid, how can you insult michael jackson when it comes to numbers, prince who has the best public image in the game has not gone gold yet in his album, but mj last album invicible sold 2.1 million in the states and 11 million world wide, madonna has only sold about 1.8 million of her last album. please if you want to insult mj go ahead, but do not lie to yourself about numbers. Mj sells more album each week than most of his peers. You have to remember mj is not new in the game, he is 48 years old. Mj will not be selling 60million of any album, but when it comes to his peers mj is God.

“Eroding fanbase”? Sorry, but what you’re writing has nothing to do with journalism… . It’s neither based on facts, nor is it of interest. I simply don’t care where Michael Jackson is moving because he is the greatest entertainer of all times and he will always be… . If he is the “king of flop” to you, than why are you writing about him? Do you like to write about flops?
You can call him “king of flop” a thousand times - that won’t change his impact on music history.
Even if Michael Jackson will not release another “Thriller” as you put it… SO WHAT? He doesn’t need to because he is still the one to hold the world record with that album.
And by the way, he IS working on a new album. That has nothing to do with rumors.

admin, whoever you are, you really are an idiot.
who said anything about Thriller? you think anyone of the current artist can make another Thriller? don’t forget, it was Michael Jackson who made it and if there’s anyone who can break that record it’s going to be him again.
i would LOVE to say “i told you so” to the lot of you regarding everything negative about MJ. oh well, guess it’ll blow up on your faces.

Glad to see Michael Jackson still has some half-dead zombie fans out there. Damn! LOL
I stand by my words. Michael Jackson’s fanbase is severely eroded and he NEEDS money fast.
I understand you 10 people or so are stil out there buying Michael Jackson zippered jackets on E-bay, but for most of the world, the fad ended in 1983.

[…] The Madman of the Moonwalk has been dragged into court again. Despite what uniformed The Michael Jackson Zombie Fan Club says, there’s mounting evidence that the King of Flop is in a downward death-spiral to the celebrity boneyard. His popularity is fading faster than a turd going down a freshly-flushed gurgler and he’s in hock up to his eyeballs. […]

“i wonder why you never allowed comments of other fans to be posted? scared of the facts?”
DY, I have to approve everyone one time first and then they go through (to avoid spam comments). I’m a big fan of free speech, so no matter how ignorant the comments are, I encourage them.
I can see you Michael Jackson fans are a little on the emotional side, but I still appreciate your feedback and thank you for visiting.
Oh, and BTW, my new article Michael Jackson - broke as a joke is now ready for your perusal.
July 4th, 2006 at 1:05 am
no thanks.
my stomach aches already from laughing too much at your dumbness to endure another read of your journalistic attempts of an “article”.
have a happy weekend thinking of mike! whoever you are.
July 5th, 2006 at 10:41 am
You claim our comments are ignorant? Michaels albums are going to number one, selling well - not as well as before but who sells records like that these days? Michaels album sold just as well as Justified, but Michaels is a flop, Justins is a success? Its called bias and if anyone is guilty of being ignorant, its you. What is your proof of Michaels fanbase eroding? Have you asked each and every person who has bought one of his albums? Dont think so, if you want to judge Michael, judge him on the truth and the facts. His last album, Number Ones was number one around the world - eroded fanbase? HA!
